Free Sunday is happening again folks. Thanks to Patography for the “tis the season” challenge and to Judy Juul for the “hats all kinds” challenge. I enjoyed them both. Now if you got leftovers from any of the challenges bring them on by to post here and share with us. If you’ve learned something new that we all need to know please share that with us as well.
I shot a few street art shots on an old corrugated wall last week. Thought I’d see what I could do with them.
Ceres the goddess of agriculture normally sets on the top of the Capitol in Missouri. She was taken off last year and sent to be refurbished. She was brought back yesterday and is on display for a few days. On the 16th of this month she will be placed back on the top of the Missouri State Capitol. She is about 10 feet tall and weights 2 tons. The Missouri State Capitol is being rehabed on the exterior to correct some water leakage and other problems. The work will be done sometime in 2020. It has been a 2 - 3 three year project.
I did not personally photograph the scene
depicted here. What I did do, is I started
with what appeared to be blank piece of
paper, somewhat old, mottled, and with a
few near invisible hints that it might once
have been a photo print ... of "something".
A longish exposure thru an "opaque blue"
filter uncovered an image ... an image of
plainly obvious purpose. You might notice
that the "Guest of Honor" is hardly in the
best of health ?
Enjoy !

Do you know any of the history connected to the photo? Really weird!
Downtown
NSFP ... But at 5 ft wide, I really love
inspecting EVERY tortured square inch.

Nope. Was in a mixed lot from an auction.
The buyer [Our Fearless Leader] asked if
I could see anything there. I said I'll take
it home and see what I can make of it.
The result is really just a proof of concept
... proof that an image is lurking within. I
did not un-frame it. There is dirt, or mold,
on the inner surface of the glass. I didn't
even kill the room lights for the test, so it
shows a lotta crap from the cover glass.
But OTOH, all that crap, plus a few stray
reflections, helps to set a ghoulish theme.
Acoarst I had no clue of that theme until
after doing the initial PP on the SOOC file.
Fri. A.M.'s sunrise at 6:30...had to stop before I left for work in our driveway!

Wow! Interesting adventure!
We took our grandson Liam to Beaver, Pa. to register for an upcoming youth photography class and afterward wandered around town and took pictures.
No art-effect filters ... simply
some really severe cropping.
