newg9bee..
Hi, John Daniel here. Yes I'm new and I suppose I'm green too.. on this forum as well as to my new g9(Lumix). I took it out of the box and the first time I held it in my hand and started turning dials and pushing stuff around I fell in love with the thing. The ergonomics at least for my smallish hands are the best I have ever experienced in a camera.
I have been photographing people and things since I was a kid. I converted from Canon full frame dslr to Panasonics 4/3 mount systems maybe 7 to 9 years ago. Everything is better for me. I'm getting older now and the size and weight of Canon gear was something I wanted to change both for the weight and the size had significant impact on me as well as my subjects. I'm much less noticed by them now.
I do outdoor portraiture, events, every day life as well as landscape photography. I'm advanced but I like to mix with folks new to the hobby. I work for Lifetouch taking pictures in the schools and I drive ride service for LYFT. My long time background is IT work in the corporate environment.
Welcome to the forum. Although I'm not one of them, there are many on this forum who own Panasonic micro four thirds cameras. GH4 cameras are mentioned occasionally. Enjoy your new G9 camera.
Welcome aboard John, I'm sure you will like it here. The people are great and very knowledgeable about all types of photography, and the Hedgehog family varies from amatures to professionals and will help you with all types of questions you may have, enjoy and keep shooting and posting
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing a photo.
Welcome to the forum John.
Welcome John, I for one am a Advanced Beginner, having learned some but not enough to produce those "Excellent" images, but practice will hopefully produce progressive results. Started in DSLR Photography at age 65, now having approximately 3 years of learning, some of it right here at UHH.
Look forward to seeing your work and learning from your experience.
Welcome to the Hog, John, enjoy.
Welcome to the forum John.

Welcome to the forum John. I, too, have and continue to work in IT in a corporate environment. My childhood passion for photography and astronomy was re-ignited with the solar eclipse of 2017. Glad to have you here at UHH and hope to see some of your work. Sounds like you enjoy candid shots of people.
Sincerely,
Charles
Welcome to UHH John, glad you joined us.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.
