Just for giggles, this is a VERY young coyote kit that was abandoned overnight under our coach early this year. We didn't touch it, gave it water, and kept it safe until momma could return for it the next night.

The first image was when we first found it. The other images are later when the kit had some confidence that everything was going to be OK.

The kit had no fear of humans and had obviously never drank from open water. Very charming experience!

Enjoy

Nice series, but I suggest that, in the future, you follow the rule stated in the intro. to this section:

“Do not hijack topics by posting your pictures inside someone else's topic in a manner that would divert the discussion away from the original poster's pictures. In such situation, it's best to start a new topic and post your pictures there. It is OK to post pictures when explicitly invited by the OP or when posting pictures inside an existing topic would genuinely benefit that particular discussion.”

Good capture!
A tighter crop would help the coyote to stand out more clearly from details immediately surrounding.

Point well taken. There is a fine distinction between extending a topic and hijacking the same. Thanks for clarifying that the preference here is to isolate topics rather than embellish them.

Yes, your are right. We started calling it a kit when we thought it could be a fox. It was a while ago.
