I was supposed to get a package yesterday, but in the afternoon, UPS sent me an email saying I would receive it the next day (lots of snow). At 10:00 PM, I heard the UPS truck stop in front of the house. Yep! He delivered a package at 10:00 PM. I hope the driver didn't leave the terminal at 7:00 AM with the other trucks.

Maybe he was on the "Afternoon Shift", and started at 3:00 P.M.
Glad you got your package.😊

Last Xmas I received two packages from UPS at 9:00 pm. The latest ever I received any packages. But on the day promised. Those deliveries were mid December, not early December. I have received two emails from UPS, indicating my deliveries would be delayed due to weather conditions. Snow, hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes.

Glad you got your package.

Last December I ordered my 80D. Right before Xmas. UPS said it would be delivered Friday, the 21st, by 8:00 PM. OK. Nothing when I got home from work. Nothing when I went to bed about 9:30. No notification of what's going on. I get up at 4 AM during the week. With no alarm set, I slept until around 6 AM. Farted around on the phone for a bit, and around 7 AM, got an e-mail saying my package was delivered. What?!

Raced to the front door. Sure enough, there sat my package. Covered in snow. Have NO idea what time it was delivered. I was NOT happy that it sat out there all night. Made a number of phone calls and reamed people a new one. What's wrong with you? Deliver it the next day. Not the end of the world. Hasn't happened again.

I would rather wait another day, than deal with it being stolen.

Different strokes, eh? I found this interesting after reading other posts where folks were quite unhappy when their packages arrived late. Seems to me they were trying to get your package to you as quickly as possible. Must have been an unusual call for the customer service rep to receive.

I ordered an item on Monday from Adorama. Got a message yesterday from UPS stating it would be delivered today “Thursday” from UPS. Came home last night from dinner out and the package was sitting on my front porch.

At least you got yours. I got a notice that UPS left a package on my front porch yesterday. I was home and checked immediately upon receiving the notice... no package. Checked my neighbors' porches... no package. Tried to submit a claim to UPS... can't for 24 hours after delivery! I also have motion activated security cameras and there was no delivery!

I'm here the Carolina's, beautiful weather the last few days,
I received a package via UPS last night 8:30pm.
Which really surprised me as I have never received one that late even with it being holiday season.

There is something wrong with U.S. mail - lately the mail is delivered very late (7:30 pm) and I find that the mail workers are new and inefficient. In fact a mail truck was parked in front of the mailboxes late at night with no one around as I was checking my mailbox due to the later hours -- was there the next morning! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE MAIL SYSTEM!

Have you contacted your Postmaster?

like you I order lots of stuff from Amazon - it is 25 mi to the closest town - 65 to a city and 4 mi to my post office box - some how over the last 2 weeks I change my deliver address to my house -quite secluded in a forested rural community that just happened to be hit with a big/deep snow storm - well the long and short of this was 2 small packages - on different days/orders were sent UPS rather than USPS and both were said to have been delivered to my porch - no way/didn't happen my house is at the end of a dead end street well way from any porch pirates.

I know they were trying to get it to me as quickly as possible and I'm sure it wasn't their usual call. But, after explaining it sat outside all night, they understood my complaint. If they can't deliver it at a decent hour, then bring it the next day. Dealing with theft takes longer than a day.

It was snowing heavily that night, and was a factor. How long before we hear of all the accidents these drivers are in? Or, how many are injured falling on the ice or snow? For what? To get a package to someone that needs, "Instant Gratification".

I've never ordered anything on-line that was needed immediately. If it's needed right away, I go to a store. You guys remember those, right?

I had a Roku streaming device and a 64gb jump drive coming from Staples. Supposed to be delivered Dec 3. That same day I got an email from Staples saying it would be delayed and I could cancel if I chose, so I cancelled on Dec 3rd. Thursday Dec 5 I got an email from Staples that UPS delivered it a couple hours earlier and was signed for by a strange name unknown to me. No package on the porch. Wife and I were home all day. Did an on-line chat with Staples and had a refund within a couple of hours. From the sound of this thread UPS has a major problem. Saw an article on the internet yesterday about a USPS fairly new hire who was hiding expensive tech equipment in the mail and later stealing it over $3K. Arrested, of course.

Snow, hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes? Wow! Glad I don't live in Southern Cal!

Glad you got your package. br br Last December I... (show quote)

I guess it made you feel like a big man yelling at some stranger on the phone. I can tell you exactly what the person at ups said when they hung up the phone. I also doubt very much if, it hasn't happened again, was a result of your being rude on the phone.
