Hi everyone my name is Joanna. I took up photography 2 years ago. I have been doing it as a hobby and enjoying it greatly. I am self-taught so that has been a little tricky but also a little exciting because every time I learn something new it opens up a whole new world to me. I am open to any suggestions that you can give me as an up-and-coming photographer. I have sold some of my work and actually recently created a calendar of my photographs. Once I come up with down payment money I will be able to produced the calendars hopefully for pretty nice profit. That in itself is exciting! I find photography to be my greatest escape from reality. When I'm taking pictures I go to my own universe and I can't hear anybody else. I can't think about anything else, and it is truly freeing for me. I look forward to learning new things from this site and hopefully improving my photography.

Welcome aboard Joanna. Photography is a great hobby. Good luck on selling your calendars. Currently I enjoy wildlife and nature images.Ask questions and post images. A great way to learn

Hi Joanna, welcome to UHH. You will find so many members here will give you all the answers you can handle...Most good, some not so good and some downright funny. But all will help you. So, for every question you ask, be prepared to get at least 10 answers if not more. Also, look at other peoples images to get ideas for yourself and to see how other members see things. Make some friends...You can also PM (private message) members to get more answers or talk to friends you make here. But above all, HAVE FUN!
