ON "CBS This Morning" They ran a short piece about the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR.
It was nicely done.

Good video but I noticed there were a lot of bullet holes in that Railroad Crossing sign near the end.

I like to view the three live webcams of the rail yard on their website. There was a while a few months ago when the cameras weren't working. They got two of cameras working but the Depot camera is still out of order. I hope they get it up and running before the next season comes around. I think that is the most interesting camera.

I'm sure those bullet holes (they look like a shotgun blast)were why the producer used that shot after all they chose to emphasize wild west and dangerous. Neither of which is based on fact. The cameras have been out in the elements 24/7 365 and are past their sell by date. They were payed for by donations and installed/maintained by volunteers. They will be updated the same way. If you've watched them you should have noticed a "Tip jar" on the page you were on.

No sorry, never noticed a "tip jar". So I went to the site to look for it. In the past I only scrolled down far enough to view the cameras without realizing there was anything else. I found the tip jar down past the cameras and found other things that I wasn't aware of. I placed my first tip in the jar for the web cameras.

ED, All though I only pointed the Tip Jar out as a way to illustrate how the cameras came about, on behalf of the "Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec RR", thank you for your donation.
