I walked the backyard and the lush vines, trees and bushes are all baren now except for a few leaves holding out for as long as they can. I picked one from a bush that was in the process of changing and I thought that it would make an interesting subject under a magnified view.
👍 Hang in there. Summer is only 5 or 6 months away! We depend on our friends who live in warmer climes.
Mark, Bill sent me several specimens to help ease the onset of my cabin fever however I don't want to burn through them too quickly for I truly enjoy photographing them.
Part of my past life as a mechanical designer was to do technical illustrations and conceptual drawings as part of engineering the concepts so I have a fondness for high detail and colors which lends itself well to now being behind the camera.
I've got a few remaining macro/micro views of textures and patterns that I want to do and then it's "back to the bugs..!"
Thanks Linda, not exactly eye-popping although I was walking the yard looking for things that I thought might make an interesting study of textures and the leaves on one of the bushes were desperately trying to hold on to their green which attracted me to it. Under magnification I could see the structure, colors and the texture of the leaf that I could not see with my eyes alone.
