Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this site is getting more and more disrespectful people joining?

I could name a few but what good will that do? I think by posting this you'll see what I mean!

If this continues, I'm out!

I think there are always going to be disrespectful people on any public forum. The best thing to do is to ignore them. Don't let a few ruin it for everyone

nice observation... However as with any social group situation, there is always at least 1, or 2 naysayers in the bunch. That's normal, but as long as it doesn't become troublesome or disruptive, I don't mind... finger pointing and name-saying only serves to feed negative behavior, so I choose not to. If it becomes disruptive, then I would suggest contacting "Uglyhedgehog" and file a complaint. Submit names if need be, but be careful. Complaints could become ugly and create a mess from an otherwise enjoyable forum and blog site.

JWilliams,
I think that the ability to be anonymous more or less is an invitation for what we used to call "S**t Stirrers" in the service. If we all had to register our contact info with the administator before joining, you'd have less ability to make "kamikaze" attacks and "drive by shootings". I havent always been so but I have finally learned to let it roll off my back in order to enjoy those of you that make it worth hanging out here.

As long as there are some of the nicest folks I have seen on the Internet on here it is certainly worth staying. You are always going to find some folks that take out their frustrations in life on folks especially when they can do it anonymously. I pity them but I am not going to let them take the joy away from me that I get from this site. You can't imagine how refreshing it is to find a site where most people are very helpful and very civil.

Hopefully I haven't stepped on any toes. I may disagree with another poster, but I try to be nice about things. I'm sure, as with other sites, the trolls will eventually move along.

Unfortnately, any site is merely a microcosm of our entire society....can't contol society nor the sites. I've never been on any site that didn't have the naysayers, s**t-stirrers, or whatever. Wish it were different.

Stay. Maybe your good manners might rub off on some of the ones of which you speak.

Most of those are from just a few posters with multiple accounts.

I am an naysayer but what is wrong with that? At work I am the one who pointed out why a lot of ideas won't work. So I am known as a naysayer. A lot of ideas are good but there is some pitfalls. If we recognize them and find way to rectify them the ideas would work.

Stuff like that doesn't bother me.

Work it in reverse...the older generations had thicker skin.

Part of it is the speech has been curtailed and modified...watched.

When someone is blunt...todays folks get upset.

I think the sensitivity has gone up...no one can roll it off their backs anymore.

I care more about if someone is telling something true or not...not how they say it.

I'll leave that to the sensitive types.

You're replying to someone who hasn't been on UHH since 2012, and who created this topic in 2011

This topic was created in 2011. Does that matter to you with regards to how you reply? There is actually a relatively new topic on the same subject.
