Thanks tommystrat for your kind thoughts. As to tech It is stupidly simple, the hooker is you do have t0 practice, no pushing a button and saying one is an artist. First of all I do not use any Adobe. I do all this with Corel Paint shop Pro 18. I lie,I do have a very old adobe 7 32bit to support some very old plugins that I treasure that will not work in anything else. I do not use any programs that one imports, I use the brushes in Corel. I use the erasure brush that finds edges and is very adjustable as to what it is near. With this I use a Wacom pad and pen, but just a small one 6x7, I tried bigger ones and did not like them. The biggest thing is to have a very large bucket of patience. With this I do all my cutting out of all my composites, sometimes zooming in and out to see complex little pieces to add and remove. The brushes can be varied in many ways to get around your cutting, this includes the tablet and pen, with variable pressure.
Photoshop also has this in it but in my experience Corel is a bit easier to work. The big thing to remember is PRACTICE,PRACTICE, AND MORE PRACTICE. I am at the point I can cut out a figure like this warrior faster than many plugins. There it is do not let it scare you. if I can do it in my late eighties you sure as heck can do it. Gook Luck RBorud PM me if I can be of more help.
