I am Daniel and new to this forum.
After a few years away, I have decided to get back into photography. I have a Nikon D7000 that I purchase in 2011 that came with an AF-S Nikkor18-200mm DX. I have been researching the Sony 7R4 and decided to purchase it. I do mostly landscapes and structures photography. I would like some suggestions as to what is the one lens that I should buy with the camera since I can only afford one?
BTW, I am planning a trip to Sequoia park in California in the next couple of months. Thanks.

I shoot Nikon, so I am noy familiar with the Sony line.
If you are going to buy just one lens, I would suggest a
zoom lens in the 18-300 mm range.
I have the Sony 7r3 and the Sony 24-70 Gm lens works very we for me in landscapes. The pixels and lens generally produce a picture that you can get all the detail you need. I also have the 100-400 GM lens but it is too large for an everyday lens.
Welcome to the forum.
To me, lenses would be an individual volition.
I have an 18-200 that lives on my APS-C camera.
It's what I like to use as I like being able to crop in-camera.
(For my old film cameras, I had five fixed lenses. I like the simplicity now also.)
Welcome to the forum. I shoot Nikon so I have no advice about lenses.
Thanks. I know it will take me a while to really learn and master the camera therefore, Intention is to use a single lens until I am fully comfortable with the camera. Since I live in NYC, I will take a short trip to B&H to explore a couple of lenses. Thanks.

The 'one lens' you need is the Sony 24-105 f4.0 G OSS. Fantastic lens. I thought the 24-70 Zeiss was a nice lens, but I had no hesitation in selling it after I got the 24-105.
However, there is not much point in having an interchangeable lens camera if you don't have any lenses to interchange. You may as well get a bridge camera. You would be better off with the A7Riii or the A7iv and use the change to add something like the Tamron 17-28mm F2.8 or the Sony 70-300 or add a macro like the Sony 90mm f2.8 G Macro.

An interchangeable lens camera will leave it open, a bridge will not.
Plus, a DSLR us usually beefier than a bridge camera.
My primary use lens hardly ever comes off my DSLR.
Just because I can, doesn't mean I have to...
