Assynt - a preview.
I had a very enjoyable and productive break in Assynt on the NW coast of Scotland. I've lots to work my way through but I thought I'd post this as a quick preview.

To say that I enjoyed that morning would be an understatement.

Oh wow, Scotland does get sunshine! This is a stunning image, R.G. but I'm thinking you should have stuck your cell phone on the tripod

Photograph bonnie Scotland with a cellphone?!? Sacrilege!!
(I only had one camera with me - you'll have to use your imagination
).
Wonderful capture, R.G.! I look forward to the rest.
Beautiful! You need to get busy with the rest!

That' the best sight of Assynt I've ever had. Every time I have been up there the weather has been dreich. Well done, I look forward to more dreichless shots of the area.

That photo is teasing me, making me want more.
Excellent shot, nice detail, thanks.
Im really looking forward to seeing more. I see this one more as a documentational photo. You have inadvertently but unerringly positioned the tripod precisely on a golden segment line, or as I like to think of it, a line of force, which gives it a special prominence in the composition.
A wonderful shot for sure except for the tripod. IMHO it really needs to go

Thank you Carol. The rest will probably come in dribs and drabs, when I can find the time.

Thank you Graham. For once things went the way I wanted. The morning started with a hard frost, which keeps the moisture out of the air. The sky stayed largely cloudless, which meant there was lots of strong sunshine, and because the sun was low in the sky, the light stayed soft.
I have a few more dreichless shots and others with varying degrees of dreichness. (Somebody should update this spellchecker. Imagine not recognising "dreich" as a word
).
