New FZ1000 owner. I would like to play with close-up work so interested in users input on the Raynox lenses usage/results, other options, etc. My thanks in advance.

I think the weakest Raynox is about +4 diopters - I would be more inclined to use something like the Canon 500D which is +2 diopters. The weaker/less diopters, the better the image quality you will get - but with less magnification.

I use Raynox lenses on my Macro lenses when I want to shoot at Magnifications greater than 1:1. They are of pretty good quality for this purpose. There are several Raynox lenses that give different magnifications. I have DCR 250 (+8), MSN 202(+25), MSN505 (+32). There is also a DCR150 (+4.8) I would suggest the DCR150, DCR250 for you. The lenses come with a compression mount for lenses of various diameters. It is, however, better to use a step down ring. The DCR 150 and 250 have 43mm threads and the MSN202 and 205 have 37mm threads as I recall.

These lenses are MUCH better than the normal closeup lenses.
