Nice image and you are off to a great start. If it were mine, I would bring down the values in the sky and moon a bit while holding the values in the foreground. Perhaps maybe lighting up the foreground slightly while adding some contrast and a bit more saturation. It's just a nice image to play with and you could learn a bunch by doing so. All about personal preference however.

We are neighbors. My wife and I live in Tubac.
Hey Tubac neighbors -- Not being familiar with Photoshop, there is a lot I could have tweaked to improve. The image was a merge only. I am looking forward to exploring post-editing. Thank you for the positive and helpful comments.
New to photography, this is my first post. I have a few decent lenses. This picture is actually two images. The landscape was taken with a 200mm lens and the moon was taken with a 600mm lens and then reduced in size in post editing. With some help, the images were then merged in Photoshop. The location is a 3,000 acre ranch of pristine desert where many 1950/1960โs western movies were filmed on the outskirts of Tucson, AZ. For those a little older, remember the TV series 'High Chaparral'?
I am looking forward to moving up the photography learning curve (itโs a steep climb). Please feel free to critique my images.

Welcome and thanks for the story behind the work. Lovely place indeed. And yes , I remember those old TV shows but never actually knew where they were filmed.

I really like your image. One thing I notice in the download is the banding in the sky. When you reduced your moon image did you reduce it to a jpg? If so, try doing it again as a tiff and then do your composite. It might remove that banding in the sky. Your blending of the two images is very well done.
Did not focus on the banding. Yes, a jpg. Thank you. I will do over as a tiff. Much to learn.
