Still a lot of pain but I actually dressed myslef for the first time this morning...the boss wasn't very happy about it but I had to have a go...
The "gizmo" you can see in the first and third pics is a local anaesthetic pump..pumps the anaesthetic straight into the operation site. Never had it or even seen it before.
The last pic shows me without all the "bits" on me and cleaner...
Not sure how or why I have all the bruising...

After my Achilles tendon surgery I was bruised all over. Apparently, even sedated, I wasn't happy with the man-handling. Never did like to be touched. They said I put up a pretty good fight and they had to hold me down a couple times until they could put me a little further under. My first surgery under general anesthetic but I'm not surprised.
I hope you are doing better soon Ron. I hate to think of you in real pain. I know something about that.

Yeah. It was about two weeks before I could do a stand up shower after the surgery. Had to put a chair in the shower enclosure. Even now I can't close my eyes in the shower or I fall over. Don't have any feeling in the bottom of my left foot. So balance isn't too good. It would be a disaster if I fell OUT of the shower. Probably break my back or my neck.
These baby steps you are making will eventually turn into substantial advancements. Just take each one as a blessing.

Happy to see that you are sort of back in action. Oh, yeah, pay attention to the boss. When I was laid up, mine was a better assessor of my condition than I was.

Ron, it is even painful to see you with such obvious pain. Please do whatever you’re told to speed your recovery!
