After doing some research, for a number of reasons I chose Nikon as my 1st DSLR, there were different aspect that Liked that Canon did not meet. As a Beginner, approximately 2.5 years ago, I chose the Nikon D3300, easy to learn and easy to understand and Operate.
Noting will ever stop the debate.
What is that link? It sent me to google mail.
For the record there should be zero debate as both cameras are better than 99.9% of us will ever be. (Philosophically speaking)
Who makes the best camera is simply a matter of opinion. What is the criteria that determines the "best" camera? The best camera is the one that does what it's suppose to when it's suppose to.
The other day I was up at my home away from home, getting it ready for the cold weather, and there were lots of colorful birds about so I decided to relax a bit and take some bird photos. I put two cases in the car from home; one contained a Nikkor 200-500 lens and a Sigma 150-600 lens. The other case contained various Nikkor lenses, Nikon accessories and D7200 and D500 bodies. I hadn't used my Nikon cameras in several months and they were both working fine the last time I used them. There were also two Canon cameras in the car, an 80D with a Sigma 150-600 attached and a 5D IV with an EF 28-300L attached.
I had charged Nikon batteries not to long ago so I had no problems with the batteries. I got the D500 out of the case, attached the 200-500 lens, inserted the battery turned the camera on. There were already memory cards in the camera. I set it to shutter priority and set the ISO. I went to take the first photo and I for "F ERR" on the display. I turned the camera off, removed the lens and cleaned the contacts. I tried again after and got the same error. I tried a different lens and got the same error. I tried the lens on the D7200 and it worked just fine. I have no idea what's wrong with my trusty D500 but I ended up taking photos of birds that day with my Canon 80D.
You tell me which one was the better Camera. Also, anyone else have this kind of problem with their D500?
