The Cumbres & Toltec Special Projects is preparing OY to run at end of next Feb/first of March.
The OY has not run since the 1990's.
The Friends of the CTSRR have been working on the OY with the structure part replacing wood parts.
The special projects dept is working to the the boiler/steam engine/rotary blades working.
This will be a special run to blow some snow!
This kicking off the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR's 50th anniversary celebration.
The following is a facebook link.
Air testing the cylinders/blower for operation.
https://www.facebook.com/DRG168/videos/572574063490078/?t=44The big 50th celebration will be the last week of Aug 2020.
If there was ever a great/best time to visit, this will be it.
The event details will be announced later. I'm hearing some very cool stuff being planned!!!!
Watch the CTSRR web site (I'm guessing in May.......). There is nothing on the web site right now

Pat, I learned this AM that test was made using compressed air.
I'm looking forward to seeing it actually steamed up
