Most of my photos came out well... but this one had green at corners... not sure what happened.
Thanks for any input
Jim
I would guess that there were some leaves in the frame that you didn't notice at the time.
Mike
Were you shooting through leaves? Were you shooting though "glass" that might have been reflecting leaves?

What they said.
Something green totaly out of focus.
I am pretty sure those are leaves that are out of focus as there are leaves on the right hand side as well so it does seem that the OP was shooting thru leaves.
Not relavent ..crap photo ..too many obstructions between you and the animal which is not looking a you.

I really love the whole parody account thing you are doing here - pretending to be an obnoxious person with no self-awareness whatsoever. It is always good for a few laughs.
It's not uncommon to miss seeing close elements such as foliage or branches when your attention is on distant critters or birds. The good news for this shot is that a portrait-oriented crop will get rid of most of the "issue."
What if it is not "pretend"?

So, I thought, "That is a rather obnoxious way to make a point." Then I thought, maybe his is right--he did give reasons. Then I thought, those reasons are arbitrary. What if the shooter wanted to show the animal as it existed, not as it might pose for a photographer. As if no great photos had obstructions or an object not looking at the camera.
I hope the OP crops and fusses with this pic. It is very interesting in general, and I get a kick our of the orang at the bottom peeking out.

While it may not be a terribly good photo, I think the person who captured it deserves to be treated with respect rather derision. Perhaps rather than insults you could actually try to help the OP by suggesting how to use compositional elements more effectively

The vast majority of people here are friendly and helpful.*
There are grumps everywhere and almost all of us get grumpy at times.
You can just ignore them.
You can also tell them where to go and what to do when they get there. However any thread it happens on will probably move to the attic.
*The biggest problem seems to be people who get tired of seeing the same questions and problems over and over. They expect everyone to know and have seen everything they have. And remember it.
I just think "Thank God they were never classroom teachers." They would have gone crazy with new students all the time asking the same questions year after year and often as many as five classes of the same subject per day. All with the same questions the students of the past asked.
If a classroom teacher keeps getting asked the same question than they are not building the answers into there lecture .. They could of course be setting the students up to think..
As for the photograph..with people you can tell them how to stand and where to look with animals you must wait or change your position .The contrast between the little monkey at the bottom and the big one shows the point perfectly.
If you want better pictures put something better in front of the camera.
