Sinatraman, Thanks and I hadn't even noticed the partial light pole, good eye!

I have to say you are right about Wyatt Earp.

I'm also going to head out all next week to finalize your challenged assignment. The greatest one will be the railroad yards as my father by law is a retired as of this year foreman for BNSF, he can get me into the places not seen by photographer alike!!! Thanks for the challenge, I'm always up for some fun...

I do notice that there is a lens effect where the right side leans left and the left side leans right. There is a program that straightens that out nicely. Unfortunately I don't know the name. I just ran across it on the net one day when I was looking at various filters. Maybe someone else knows the name.

man i would kill for a chance to go to a railroad yard. come back with lots of photos, trains, cars, character photos of the crews even interesting graffiti painted on the sides of railroad cars. The Saanta fe is my favorite railroad, but i liked the looks of their engines before burlington bought them.

Ah, will do! Santa Fe has always been my favorite. Burlington's changes should have never taken place in my opinion... I shot over 300 photographs today alone while I was at the lake so I'll have plenty to share!

Here is another one of that same building, do you see it in this photograph too?

Lol, We got that same system yard here too! Don't think "Goober" can get me in that one though!

PS "Goober" is my father by law! That's what they named him out on the tracks!

Shoot what you love, not what you dislike, unless you really dislike it to the point of hating it. This pic has nothing going for it with its tilt, boring sky and common architecture that is not welll-placed in the frame. Every town has tons of opportunities for delightful pictures. Go forth into alleys and onto busy sidewalks and see as if you were seeing for the first time in you life. Surprise yourself!

Thanks for the feed back! Did you happen to read my post? I explained: I know the photograph isn't straight, but I'm not sure how to fix this. Also, in my post it states that on the right side of the building was nothing to see as it is full of construction junk. Photographer's are NOT allowed in allies in Topeka as posted by city law which sucks and I found that out a couple weeks ago when I had to go to court for photographing in an ally. I plan to visit uptown. The busiest part of town from 7am - 8pm. Again, thanks for your feed back. What would you have done differently? Please let me know thanks...

The photo looks to be about 3-4 degrees off .... I don't know what editing software you have but this can be corrected thru a editing process. I love the sepia tone it has .....

Thanks for the comment... I use Photoshop CS5 Extended and Light Room 3... will either of these do the trick?

Hello,

Just a quick adjustment in post production and I feel it is not what the subject we shoot but How we shoot it. As for straightening you photo you need the pro cameras with tilt bellows to correct the print

Some photo software has a "straightening" option. Use this to orient the photo then export the finished product to a file before you post the pic.

Could not help myself, I had to do a little straightening myself.

When you go this far with tilt, then you begin to lose data when cropping. But, it's fun.
