Know the tracks well frequently go up Cajon pass to Sister-in-laws. You get a sense of how long the train was from the fact that I was in the 7th car from the back. It was 22 cars long not counting 4014, the two desels, oil and water tenders, the generator and support car and two baggage cars used as buffers at the head end.
