We took a trip to Yellowstone a few weeks ago. I planned the trip around a new moon, but it was cloudy or snowing every night except for or arrival night. After being awake for a full day of airports and driving, I only got two okay shots. This one is my favorite.
Very nice photo, thanks for posting.
Cool photo Kervin. Maybe a touch out of focus.

Out of focus for sure! I was so tired that I'm glad I got any shot that night.

That's Beautiful, Kervin! Love the image!
The way the lighting hits the land it looks like the caldera is cracking open the land.
Is that Old Faithful?(Which is really Old Unfaithful since Mount Saint Helens took Harry Truman.)
Since Mount St. Helens blew, Old Faithful didn't have a pattern anymore.
Yellowstone is the Super Caldera that could wipe us out. And it is overdue...

Thanks! Yes, that is Old Faithful Geyser. The plan was to get a shot during a full eruption, but this is about 10 minutes after the last one and a hour before the next one!
The beauty and clarity of the scene IMOP is spot on. Well done
