Thanks Brian , I grab the camera after looking out the kitchen window . They started coming over about 15min. before I even got the camera , wishing I could've caught the line of them. Trees killed any chance of that but , I captured some of the really colorful ones. It was a thrill .

We have several a week go past our back yard early in the morning. They go up to watch the sunrise

You had more this morning than we were able to launch for today’s mass ascension. We had almost an inch of rain yesterday setting fog along the river.
As a result I did not get my time lapse video. Maybe later in the week.
Here is a shot from the top of the mountain that I drove to.
The first shot is after the fog tried to lift but rolled back over the field.
The second shot was the few balloons that launched before the field was closed.

Such a disappointment.

I read that you were planning to shoot TL of over a estimated hundred hot-air Balloons and since I already had these in my computer from 2016 , I thought I'd jump on your train and get everyone excited Jim. I must admit that TL would've been awesome of the event if it weren't for those stinking clouds. Is this event yearly ? I haven't seen those Balloons pass over since and it's been 3yrs. I can't wait to view your TL , that'll be awesome.

Here is a link to one that I did 7 years ago.
This is my teaser that really shows the different directions of wind at different layers in the Albuquerque box.

Jim , that is soooo" Awesome " I love it . What tripod did you use to capture this ? I wish I could image something like that "there's an awful lot of balloons in that TL , I made Elvis out and it's pretty cool I like the colorful ones the best.

Thank you for the compliment.
I just used a standard Manfroto tripod and a remote timer.

Loved that Jim!
Cracked me up! Balloonal Corn-fusion.
Pretty wild!

Even with clouds, Time Lapses can be very fun and interesting.
I like to just Let'r Run, then if it's poop, the delete key can always flush the results.
