You guaranteed yourself clouds for the next few weeks. 😀

I assume you will be going after some planets and the moon?

No doubt about the clouds. Humid, hazy nights abound, too. :/

Yes. I plan to take in some views of Jupiter and Luna. My setup is modest but It suits me well.

If you plan to image planetary/moon, this is a good series.

Beautiful, BroncoManiac!

You're in with both feet now!
Just have a lot of patience.
(Oh, and warm clothes...)

Thanks SonnyE. I don't have much sky to work with where I live but I'll take what I can get. Over the summer I traded in my reflector for the mak due to health issues. I'm glad I did bc the viewing is noticeably improved.

I'll tell ya Bronco , I shoot between the big ole Oaks . It takes me some time , especially in this Heat and humidity we've had forever in Carolina {record shattering}. That's a nice set-up and it's spotless but, that won't last. Brian gave you the link to what you need to know about solar system objects. I started out with a SEARS&ROEBUCK 50mm refractor back in the 70's. no motor , no camera just ep's. I had a blast. Enjoy and post your 1st light .

It's been record setting here in Virginia as well. I feel your pain. :/

My first scope was a 70mm Towa. Really nice optics and a solid mount. It got me hooked.
