Two variations on this shot. The first one I shot. Show my wife she suggested a wider view. Your thoughts on either or both images are appreciated.

Of course your wife was right! If you are married like I am, she will always be right - and don't you question that!

I like the shots. The second one allows for a little "framing" of the objects and tends to keep the eye from wandering out of the picture. So she either has a good eye or instinctively noticed that.

The second one SEEMS to have more contrast, which usually is more pleasing.

I think I prefer the wider view. Both seem to be very warm in color on my monitor.

I did go with the Warner look I idea was since it was a fall theme I went in that direction. But your monitor may show warmer than mine

Your wife is right, but you knew that, Frank. When I married I looked for Ms. Right and found her. It was not till later that I found out her first name was "Always."

Very funny Mike, but oh so true. When I showed her my first shot, she said nice but show more of the wheelbarrow. Like many time always good to get another persons point of view. She was spot on about this shot.

Right picture for the correct time of the year. The picture looked like it had a lot of yellow in it. I have seen wood that color but not too often. I played around with the first one removing much of the yellow and changing the background a bit. I also frame it to see if it could be a wall hanger. I was pleased with the results, if interested I will post my edit.

He mentioned wanting it to have a fall look so that is why the warm colors. It is to show the light of a fall afternoon near sunset. I think it works.
