Understand that plastic, fabrics and many other things come from the same petroleum. I'll start another one for you. Energy can neither be created or destroyed. So the wind come from the west across say California and hits a windmill, no problem. Hits 100 windmills, no problem. 1,000 windmills- 10,000 wing mill no problem? At some point the wind that blows across America slows down and does not continue the the place it youse to go. We don't get a vacuum in that area but some air(weather) come in form some place. North, South, East or above air moving down. That is now changing the weather at that point. So we are changing the weather in the country, better or worse. But we are changing the worlds weather.

The Sun makes the wind.
When the Sun rises in CA, the mountains heat up first. We even named the local LA newspaper "The Daily Breeze" because of the thermal rise action. Every afternoon, outside, we go "Ahhh!"
Guess what? It does the same on the eastern side of the mountains. The other way ...
You'll get some of the same effects across the eastern seaboard. Many small local weather variances.
In the flyovers, there's nothing to stop the winds. From dust devils little tornadoes grow.
In the meantime, there's the Jetstream. You can see the Pacific's warmer air pushing it up in the middle, and as it hits the US it kinda snakes up and down. It's huge, and powerful. You'd have to build very large and very high and very many windmills to have any effect. It wouldn't be much.

Love you theory but not fact. "Nothing to stop the wind?" The wind turning a windmill is taking some energy "ever so slight" out oh the wind. At a million "ever so slight" we lose wind energy because we have converter it to electric energy
To a much lesser degree aches of solar power on the ground is robbing the earth from gathering it's heat so you will see the depth of the frost change in the winter.
The basic fact that energy can neither be destroyed nor created.

But most of those "renewable" energy and eliminate fossil fuel types don't want those wind turbine farms and huge solar panel complexes in their back yard or their favorite resort areas. They want them in everyone else's yard and favorite parks/public lands.
Her in CA and I am sure other areas the people concerned with natural landscapes and birds and animals are always up in arms over the solar complexes covering huge blocks of mostly desert (desert tortoise, etc) and the huge wind turbine farms in passes and valleys killing large numbers of birds, including raptors because those happen to be migration routes.
But they don't spoil the view for Beverly Hills, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Peeble Beach etc.
