First time shooting birds
Nice start. Too bad you had to practice on buzzards.
It's a lot more fun with pretty birds.
Very nice, and the perfect subjects to learn and practice on. You’ve created sharp, nicely posed pictures. I find beauty in the feather patterns and details even if the face is not the prettiest. With practice you’ll start taking shots of smaller birds, though getting sharp, detailed photos of the really small, more colorful birds can be a real challenge. You will most often find them hiding deep in shade or high in the branches of a bush or tree, partially hidden by leaves and branches. You may have to use high ISO and crop heavily in order to see your subject well, but keep up the good work. It’s a very gratifying hobby. Jak
