Hi Rick, definitely expensive and there is no bank or ATM machine out in those great plains. Whatever camp or camps you will stay in there is a policy of tipping to those that help. So cash is needed.
Weight restrictions exist so the lens you take is limited. I used my 100mm - 400 zoom lens 95% of the time and at the 300 - 400 range. You will need a 300mm or longer lens. If Fujifilm made a prime 300mm I would want that. But their zoom is great! Enjoy !!

Thanks much for the info.

Hi Tom, sorry for this late response!
On the recommendation of a family friend who went on (3) trips, I used “Don Young Safari’s” & I would use again for sure. Also hard for me to walk & he helped find camps that I could handle with a little help!
Very satisfied with the kind & number of game seen. From day one we checked off game. Went the last two weeks of July. It was cold, especially early morning before the sun rose & after sunset. No heat in our luxury tents & freezing at night & when we got up. Once the sun came up it got warm.
Hope this helps & have a great trip!

Thanks Jorge! I was forced to retire & miss work at times. But having the time is great. I had multiple skeletal & neurological effects after a severe fall I had years ago! Also (5) major surgeries and left with great difficulty in walking and balance.
But this safari I was able to take photos from just sitting in the jeep! Not much walking at the camps we went to and helpful staff.
Hope you get to take some great trips and great photo’s from them!

Hi Tom,

Very sorry I took this long to send you some information!
My wife has a friend Beth that went 4 times with his group and had a great experience each time.
We went from July 14, 2019 till July 25, 2019. Amazing experience & great photo opportunity!!
Would love to go again. There are 10 types of birds to see if you want and also interesting landscape's!!
I would use Donald Young without hesitation.

I used: Donald Young Safari's at www.Donaldyoungsafaris.com

I would recommend at least a 300mm lens but 400mm is ideal, or more!! And a wide angle to about 100mm.
These photo's I used my Fujifilm X-T2 with their 100-400mm telephoto lens that is excellent.

Good luck & hope you get to go.
