Great tour! Thanks for taking us.
Great photographs. For a first time posting you sure started off with a set that will be difficult to beat. Did you take any photographs of the people you were with, the vehicles you rode in when you were among the animals, your lodgings and the places you dined, general shots the people of the country you visited and the environment in which they lived. I think many of us would like to see any of your other images. I know I would.
A marvelous experience well captured!
Outstanding set! I'm leaving for Kenya exactly a week from today for 13 days. I hope to get some good photos. I'm 81 and somewhat limited in movement, but I'll do all that I can.

I'm over 80 and have been to Africa. I don't think you will have a major problem. While in the bush you will be sitting down and you should be able to brace yourself. I would suggest you increase your shutter by a couple of stops and shoot mainly while the van is stopped.

Thank you for your fine suggestions.
Terrific pictures, Africa is simply amazing with all the animals. I was there two years ago. Thanks for sharing
Terrific shots, love the giraffe
Just beautiful. I'm so glad you were able to go! --- Ed

What are you going to do for your 75th drbart?
Thank you so much! Much appreciate you telling me. At 75, I’ll probably still be learning how to use Lightroom! Lol

Been a long term wish to go on an African Safari & finally went for my 70th birthday! Went to Kenya this past July, and stayed in the endless plains of the Masai Mara.
The attached photo’s were taken by me from the Land Cruiser using my Fujifilm X-T2 and their Fujinon Lens XF 100-400mm 1:4.5 - 5.6. All photo’s were hand held while sitting.
At that time The Great Migration of Wildebeests need to cross the Mara River.
Awesome. Trying to set one up in Botswana for next September. $$$-Yikes! What length lens did you find to be the most useful? Which ones did you take with?

Thank you very much!
I have a photograph of our Land Cruiser with our guide & driver, but taken of me with them. Also of one of the tents we stayed in & impressive for a “tent”, but taken by my wife with her iPhone . We visited a Massi Warrior Village and learned about their culture by the Chief’s son; which is quite interesting! I have a photo of him & myself and other photo’s of their self-made huts & cabin’s. These also taken by my wife along with some of the men & woman dancing.
There are photo’s taken in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya where the international airport is.
I am limited in what I can do due to neuro balance problem and my ability to walk using a cane or walker.
I limited the photo’s posted to only those shoot by myself. I do appreciate your interest in my trip and the photo’s taken. Thank you again.

Rick
Hi Rick, definitely expensive and there is no bank or ATM machine out in those great plains. Whatever camp or camps you will stay in there is a policy of tipping to those that help. So cash is needed.
Weight restrictions exist so the lens you take is limited. I used my 100mm - 400 zoom lens 95% of the time and at the 300 - 400 range. You will need a 300mm or longer lens. If Fujifilm made a prime 300mm I would want that. But their zoom is great! Enjoy !!
