I was requested to move a post I made in the general section to this section but as I have not ever done that I have no idea how to do it. Therefore I am reposting the message in this section. UP 4014 leaves Cheyenne on September 27th for what they are calling "The Great Race Across the Southwest." It goes to Provo Utah arriving on October 1st and will sit there for 2 days being on display on October 2nd & 3rd. October 4th it leaves Prove and goes as far as Milford, Ut. On October 5th & 6th it travels on down to Las Vegas, Nv. where it will sit on display Monday October 7th. October 8th & 9th it will travel to Los Angeles and sit on display October 10 & 11. The excursion rides will be Saturday and Sunday October 12th & 13th. It will Leave Los Angeles on October 15th and go thru Beaumont, Indio, Niland, Ca. and arrive in Yuma and overnight there. October 16th & 17th it will travel to Tucson where it will be on display Friday October 18th. Saturday October 19th it leaves Tucson to head on east to El Paso where it will be on display the 21st and 22nd of October. This is as far as the schedule is available on the UP Steam web pages.

Here is a copy of the UP Steam web page with the schedule as is confirmed right now. The only thing NOT listed is the display area in Los Angeles, but my understanding was that it would be near the museum it was in for 52 years.

You can't move it yourself. Send a PM to Admin explaining that you posted in the wrong section and request that it be moved.

At the top of the page there is a "Help" link.
There is a FAQ forum section.
Most forum sections have Rules/FAQ/Help links pertaining to that section.

It is good idea to be familiar with that information.

At the bottom of the page is an "All Sections" link that will take you to a listing of all forum sections available on UHH. You can subscribe to the sections you are interested in.

@Mac; I know about most of that stuff. I am just old😟 and don't remember as well as I used to. Also I am retraining my brain as I had a fall last year and ended up in a Neurologic unit in a hospital for 2 months. After I wrote the first post on this I realized I could cut & paste the other forum post to a blank form and post it that way. 🥺

Jethro, Thank you posting here!
BTW I didn't notice earlier that you're from "the Old Pueblo"
And, I'm sure your rehab will be helped as you chase!

@Pat, if you look at the schedule on the web site I added to my post you will see in a map the route it will take in Texas. From the looks of the route it will go down along the border to Mexico and then up toward Texarkana.

I was looking at the listings for stops...
Looking at the map, I think it is going to miss my area.
Thanks!
Pat

Pat, don't let a few miles of Texas highway keep you from seeing 4014.
The experience is well worth the effort, maybe one chance ever.
I chased it across Wyoming and caught up with it again just 15 miles from home.
I am ready for another chance to see it.
