Thought I's see if I can do this grunge thing and I'm leaving it up to you who view this to tell me honestly what you think. All work done in Photoshop with five layers, overlays and backgrounds, Blend Modes and Opacity. As I post this I'm not even sure that I like it.
It's not "pretty," but at the gallery art level, it might be considered esthetically beautiful for its subtle, low intensity colors and its texture. I respect it very much, but it is not to my personal liking. Still, I would likely put it in a show I was judging.
Thanks for the comments Bob.
I would like it better if I could discern what it was supposed to represent to me.
I'm not exactly sure why, but this image really appeals to me - muted, dark but beautiful in its own way. Good work!

Thanks for the comment. I know exactly what you're saying. I don't even know what it means to me. I just started adding layers, changing blend modes, pulling sliders and came up with this.
I see so many different things in it. Sometimes it is better to let the viewer derive their own meaning from your work. I like the colors, I think the composition leads you around the image and there are so many subtle shapes and images that are almost familiar but not quite recognizable. I think sometimes our creativity is guided by our subconscious and you have created a really good contemplative piece.
Thank you Keni for the compliments.
I have no issue with your image, It may be exactly what you were going for. Only I would not call it grunge. I think of grunge as something that is easily recognizable but filthy, dirty, corrupted. This is a very nice image in some other artistic category.
