SOLD - Canon G15 camera

Selling my Canon G15 as I have too many cameras and recently bought the Canon G9X. My G15 is in excellent condition and includes everything in the picture including the battery which was in the camera when I snapped the pic. If you're familiar with the G15 you know it's built like a tank and most notable features is it's f1.8-2.8 5X zoom lens for great low light pics. Many of the smaller cameras no longer have a viewfinder BUT THIS ONE DOES to aid while shooting in the bright outdoors when reflection on the LCD screen hampers your view. Also has flash shoe and image stabilization. You can find it's many other features with an internet search. I purchased this directly from Canon as a refurbished unit which many consider better than on off the production line because of it's thorough check. Selling for $199 with free USPS shipping. I require PayPal payment and will only ship to a confirmed PayPal shipping address in the lower 48 states. This camera is in great shape and has been gently used.

I also have one and it is my back up camera. One feature is the Macro setting. I often use it when I have the telephoto on my 5D4 and need to get a real close up. I think yuor price is very reasonable so good luck selling it.

I have one in equally excellent shape and periodically consider selling it. I think it's worth about 20% more than this so someone is going to get an excellent deal here. GLWYS although at that great price you won't really need it.

I have the G9 .. a great walk-around street camera. Do I really need a G15? Inquiring minds want to know....

According to cameradecision.com the G15 scores 85% on street photography to 80% for the G9X. It has the viewfinder which some find very useful and nice to have and 5x zoom vs 3x zoom with a bit faster lens. But it has a smaller sensor, slower continuous shooting speed and weighs more among other things. As good a deal as this one is you can probably try it for free if you decide to resell it, or at least for very little cost.

Mine is the G9, no X. Looks a lot like the G15 above, has the viewfinder and a bit longer zoom (6x), very similar specs. I think I’ll keep the G9.

Ah, the earlier version. They don't go back that far on their comparisons and I wasn't thinking and went with the option they offered. A duh moment for me. In any event, someone is going to get a very nice camera at a good price here.

Actually dpreview.com does go back for side-by-side comparison of the G9 and G15 if you click the little box for "include discontinued". There are many major differences between the Canon G9 and the Canon G15.... too many for me to list here. Also the other party was confusing the old G9 released in 2007 with the G9X released in 2015 and has since been updated to the G9X Mark II in 2017 which I just purchased since I wanted the larger 1 inch sensor.

I was referring to cameradecision.com not dpreview. The latter does have it but not the former. And on topic, either one would call this a very good deal on a G15 I'm sure.
