At the contests I enter, I am seeing more and more digital frames, and the Indiana State fair contest encourages using them. I can see the cost advantage, too.

What recommendations do folks have for relatively easy-to-use programs that do digital framing? I am not looking for programs that do cutesy things, just one that replicates matting.

I just did a search for "digital photo frame" and got several results....rather than list them, I suggest you do the same. Costs from $50-$500+, and sizes from 8" up. Some you can change mat color.

The best is here https://meural.netgear.com/?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=CjwKCAjwnf7qBRAtEiwAseBO_FdgF34xiS3kiZjumrOPD7-2yrrd8hBAbL_3i1JY8c3Pw98hu9TxqxoC-v4QAvD_BwE But also the most expensive.

I am aware of that and have done so. I am looking for folks who have had some experience with these programs.

I've been using Topaz Studio's Digital Frames adjustment. The simple version that comes with the initial program (either Studio 1 or 2) doesn't give you enough control over color, sizing, or shadowing, so i upgraded to their "pro" version. It allows all kinds of adjustments to both the mat and frame. I just threw this one together as a simple example. I paid $15 for the upgrade.

Just a side note that I should have included initially: I do not have Photoshop.

If printed on acrylic or metal..... This would look good.

But I think the op it's more interested in a REAL frame that shows a print digitally, similar to those frames that you load photos on, and changes photos of more than one is loaded...
