When I click on an icon to link to another website, I get the full internet address for the site. I can access the site, but would like to have all that address detail removed. Appreciate your help.

Are you asking about HTML coding or just clicking on links in a browser?

I know how to answer the HTML coding question, but honestly have no idea about what's being asked of the latter.

I don't know what has just happened, but I'm not getting the address info anymore. I'll have to be more diligent when it happens again and determine what browser and site I'm trying to link to.

You can shorten the link by using bitly. There are other web sites you can throw a long URL into and get it shortened. There are free ones. checkout http://tinyurl.com.

Thanks for the information. As I said in my previous note, the problem has disappeared.

It sounds like you were clicking on a website link and then being re-directed to another site. Be careful what you are clicking on and especially what you are being re-directed to! That can be some bad stuff for your computer.

I would only use Firefox or Opera browsers.
