I've been using Luminar since 2018 and have an ongoing issue. Whenever I export an image to a folder or to an email etc. it takes quite a long time; about 2 minutes for an edited raw file and about a minute when I start with a jpeg. Raw files are typically 45 Mb and jpgs are about 25Mb. I doubt this makes a difference because my other camera is a Sony which creates a more compressed raw file at 25Mb. I'm using a MacBook with a 1.1GHz processor and 8Mb of memory.
Has anybody had this problem and what did you do to address it?
On my old computer, which was a Windows 10 with 16Mb of memory, it would take almost that long when saving. I have since upgraded to 32Mb and it saves much faster, only a about 10 to 15 seconds now.

I have a MacBook Pro (from 2014) with 2.2 ghz processor and 16GB memory and don't experience what you describe. I think it may be time to update the computer.
I have a similar situation on my Win 10 laptop with 16Gb of memory. I am not familiar with your processor, but the 8Mb of memory is problematic.

I had the exact same problem as you describe on Luminar 3. I run windows 10 with a 1.7GHz processor and had 8 GB of memory. I solved my problem by adding memory (now have 16 GB) and changing my system HDD to a SSD. Cost less than $200.
I now save RAW files in 20-30 seconds (from 2+ minutes), which is acceptable to me.
I don’t know much about MacBooks in terms of how easy or inexpensive it is to upgrade. Also, if you would upgrade it yourself. The 1.1 GHz processor would be a concern to me (maybe too slow for Luminar 3?).
Another member said it might be time for a new Mac. He could be right. Good luck! Hope you solve your problem. BTW, the other benefit of upgrading is everything runs so much faster now, which is quite enjoyable.

I use an iMac 27", 4Ghz, 64 GB Ram. Your process takes me about 3 seconds to email.
Cheers!

Never had this problem with Luminar. My old PC prior to Luminar 2018 had 32GB of Ram. My new one has 64GB Ram, Intel 3.6Ghz CPU, 950PRO SSD for my OS, NVidia GPU with 6GB Ram on it.
I'm not familiar with MacBook's, so I can't compare your 1.1GHz processor to my 3.6GHz one, but I do have a lot more Ram than you have, so that helps out. You may need to upgrade some components so your MacBook runs faster.

I have the same issue with 3 different Luminar releases that I own. I have a Dell XPS 13 with 8GB Memory, I believe that memory is the problem. You need 16GB, but my laptop is not upgradable so I will live with the slow export.

I have no problem with Luminar. It's my favorite program. It only takes no more than 30 seconds to process a photo and I use Sonys also. Your computer might be the problem.
Sadly Apple doesn't allow you to upgrade your computer by adding memory or changing the processor. If you want to stay with Mac (which I do) you have to buy a new computer. It's an option I'm considering although I really like what I've got
