Someone had too much time on their hands and a sense of humor. This is from out in the middle of nowhere Wyoming after many miles down a gravel road.
That could be the bike from "ET: The Extra Terrestrial".

Perhaps it ‘blew in from Kansas, and got stuck’.
Maybe it's a warning to trespassers. Cool find.
I was wondering where Mary Poppins left her bicycle.

Thank You, AzPicLady and it could be...looks like it had been there a long time!!
They wanted to keep the bike safe, good shot, Jederick.
Perhaps it blew in during the dustbowl years.
Neat find.
Out here people enjoy their gates and distinguish them from others to make it easy for people to find them when they give directions e.g. "Six miles west on County 5, turn in at the gate with the bicycle, three miles to the ranch house." No mystery.

That could be Lance Armstrong's bike when he was so "naturally" feetstrong he could even fly and blew away the competition.
