All photos taken with a Canon 80D EFS 55-250mm.
I have thick skin and want to learn all I can.
I think they look fine. The only suggestion I have is maybe back off a bit on the second one so there is more room around the rocks.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I will give that a try on 2.

Thanks, Tazzy! She's quite the "princess"
Sorry I have no critique. I like them all except the rocks. It's a good shot but.... rocks? My favorite by far is #4 -- it's alive and tack-sharp.
Very good shots. I suggest that they might just be a little too "busy". I find my eye roaming from place to place on each shot finding very nice details but distracted by too many other details. I think you can produce some very good images by some selective cropping to simplify the composition. I can easily see half a dozen very nice images within your shots. Also, I suspect that you could produce some outstanding B&W images working with your shots. I hope you will not be offended but I took the liberty to process one of your photos as an example of what I mean.
Keep exploring the cameras limits as we've all been there. over time you'll learn what to look for and how to frame the images. Don't rush this and don't rush into trying to post edit them afterward, just take the picture, critique yourself. But these would be listed as better than average tourist photos.

Thanks for the thoughts and time to look these over! I can appreciate the rocks being an odd photograph to post. Perhaps I should have shared that these were stacked/balanced by a 5 year old boy. I guess the use of captions and or descriptions would have been useful on photos that wouldn't normally be appealing.
I appreciate your help!

No offense taken! Thank you for the critique. I really like the B&W!! It's so helpful to get ideas from more experienced people on UHH as I try to grow my skills. I will try your idea of cropping a bit to "quiet" the distractions. Thanks again for taking the time to help!

Some folks would find the rocks to be VERY appealing. I have a Japanese friend whose garden is mostly sculptured sand, rocks, & zen-type statues. His garden didn't make me say, "Wow, that is sooo beautiful!" Instead, I said (to myself), "How still & peaceful it is. I shall stay here and just relax for a while."
Your photo of a 5 year old boy's creative work renders those rocks into being a truly truly amazing bit of art! I now contemplate them with much shared joy, as I mentally picture the small hands that so carefully and thoughtfully arranged them JUST SO. (I have a great-great grandson who is about that same age. His drawings are magnetically attached, all over my refrigerator's door).

Yes indeed, I have visited gardens similar to your friends! Peaceful and harmonious is how I felt within them. I guess in some cases, a few words could be worth a thousand pictures?
