Mmm Mm ... we call em Maters down here. They look delicious
Mmmmmm! Bacon! Plus some lettuce & mayo between a couple slices of a good, handcrafted bread...
Oh, wait! This is a photography forum! Nice image, rg. And I don't care what anybody says, I like Topaz, too.

And they say "global warming" is a bad thing! You should grab some before they turn red, Fried green tomatoes! My mouth is watering!

I have tomato & mayo sandwiches for lunch sometimes, but ONLY with good, ripe, red tomatoes!

rg, these look good enough to eat. Make me want to have a fried green tomato.
Our planting beds are raised Pottagers, and for years we did battle with birds and rodentia on who got the ripe fruit first. This year we built 2x2 frames with narrow opening wire and well, have a bumper crop.
The first day, there was a not pinned: "Not Fair" signed Birds.

There is nothing tomatoes like more than long warm summer weather.

Love home grown tomatoes. Thanks for sharing.

I can't think of anything that changes taste as much as a tomato with the seasons. I love summer tomatoes but they are very hard to find around here (Ohio) because of the wet spring.
