Any good show by Joe Weber ends with a sunset, if such is available at all. Well, the Fiji sunsets we experienced were quite spectacular and at the same time also rather unusual: much more in the yellow/orange tones than in the reds - don't know whether this has something to do with the location being in the midst of an ocean with less airborne pollution? Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed these sunsets here.

There were just too many pictures of this one rather spectacular sunset to squeeze them into one post, so I will do the unusual for me and present two posts in one day.

This first post records the moods leading up to as well as capturing the actual moments of the sunset right at the beach of our hotel.

Joe, these are beautiful. One question - do the shallows run out quite far?

Thank you Barbara for staying on with me on this long presentation - I very much appreciated your comments and questions. To your question - I am pretty bad in estimating distances, but I would say it was not that far, some couple of hundred meters would be my rough guess.

Very nice set. I like # 4 the best, not just because of the rider, but for the sun not being dead center.

Pretty darn nice. Your compositions with the depth of field in the foregrounds make them so.

Joe, a great set of photos. #4 is my hands down favorite. A really unique capture.

Travel safe my friend.
