Someone posted that CA rejected his request for a vanity plate - UKE 52MG - saying it was profanity. What am I missing?

What was the source of this story. Sounds like a hoax to me. The people at the CA DMV are not that sophisticated about censoring plates unless they are obviously obscene. I've seen some pretty raw ones on cars.
Is the one up there for a 1952 MG car? I have no idea what an objection might be. Someone over thinking it.
I Googled UKE 52 MG --
Closest I came up with was a series of photos of "UKULELE's
"IF" I could play one my Wife assures me it would only be in the ATTIC !!
Hope this is helps
I go with the guy's initials and he has a 1952 MG. Not too obscene unless he says a lot of obscene things because the 1952s were very hard to keep running ????????????

Thinking the DMV thinks it might somehow be a gang name

Probably not that reason. I had one for several decades. Made two cross country trips between Oregon & Florida. Probably the most dependable & easiest to maintain car I've ever owned. That said, it was unsafe, (suicide doors, gas tank ready to blow in a rear ender), under-powered, & had practically invisible tail lights, The ex took it.

Google just UKE.
Interesting.........
Might not refer to a ukulele.
my search turned up Mirena IUD birth control device. In our language, uke is only a letter short of a vulgar name for woman's privates.
This was posted on a ukulele forum. I know that the people who approve vanity plates go through some training, and they have reference sources to check. I can understand them not explaining their reasons for rejecting a plate because that would be passing along profanity.

The best plate I have seen on a sports car that just screamed sorority babe was "HOTNWET".
Another one I remember seeing was MYRCD7.
I heard this was banned - QQQQ
