Driving on some of the back back roads of Spencer, Massachusetts early Sunday evening. Truck pulling out onto narrow two-lane road. Stopped and waved him through. The trailer emerged from the thick stand of trees to the right. The camera was on the front seat after using it for a more static photo a bit earlier. 40-150 lens in place. Grabbed, turned on, and shot. Nice life pooch!
ISO 200 f/20 1/100 at 64 mm shooting RAW and manual. EM1 mk ii. With no time to correct the exposure parameters after shooting a silhouette into a bright sky, some processing to increase exposure was necessary.

Nice "grab" shot.
Exactly what it was. No time to think much, just shoot and hope. Worked out well despite the occasional contentious arguments on this site about snapshot vs. photo. Not certain there is a difference.

A trip down memory lane, thank you!
Always cut, baled and hauled my own hay and most years a few of my neighbors hay too (especially the years my hay won blue ribbons at the county hay show).
A lovely photograph of a peaceful scene!

I'd been at the Abbey to pick up some preserves, some Trappistine candy (through tremendous self-control it is still unopened), and to see my spiritual director. Left after vespers. Turned right and then the first left. Roads I'd not been on before. Was tying to avoid the Mass Pike until beyond Worcester. GPS took me on some roads I'd not been on before. Some beautiful scenery. The only name I can remember is Gold Nugget but I think this photo was before I got to that turn.

A classic farm photo.
Thanks. I could hardly wait to get home and download. Minimal experience with farms--grew up in a coal-mining town.

Good catch!
Thanks for commenting. It was indeed a catch while driving roads I'd never been on before despite going out to Spencer for the past 30 years plus.

Thanks. Directing one down memory lane is one of the reasons for a lot of my shooting. Wanted to dognap the pooch.
