And you did it well. The composition is pleasing to my eye, the colors are pleasant and nicely subdued. The only thing I would do is to clone out the little bit of road on the right side.

I, being a B&W guy, tried a few things with the photo with NIK Silver Efex Pro and got some interesting results. Not near as good as your color shot, but not bad.

I love black & white. It takes me back to the day when I used a TV table over the toilet for my Durst M301 enlarger and a bathtub as my sink in my "Portable" darkroom.

Thanks for the post. I like the crop in the second one.

I too shot B&W in the old days until I found that the really good shots were made in the dark room that I didn't have that skill. I switched Kodachrome 25 which lowered my success rate to something around 1 in 100 but leveled the playing field. Almost every landscape I take now is subjected to a B&W conversion as are many that are posted on UHH. Now I can compete.
