Will more gun laws stop the violence?

Can you say Timothy McVeigh?

Do gun laws stop the violence in China, etc. Not likely. How many other violent crimes happened in China, etc. since 2014 but were just not reported in the news? The only thing more laws might do is change the weapon of choice for those who want to commit evil acts. Guns aren't the problem. People are.

From dealing with convicted felons both male and female for 20 years in maximum security prisons and death row I can tell you that felons have told me that they don't care what laws are passed. They are criminals and don't obey laws.

Imagine the stupidity of posting a sign saying, No Firearms allowed on these premises, and then expect some bent on committing mass murder to obey that sign. Only a complete i***t would think someone would obey the sign. That sign also prevents a law abiding citizen from using his firearm on the premises should a mass murderer enter the area. This is all common sense but then again common sense is lacking on the Liberals.

With over 25,000 gun laws on the books in America I think that should be more than enough. Perhaps one of the UHH members can come up with just one law that would have stopped any murderer in history.

Maybe they could tell us of a new law that would stop any murder EVER. I will be right here.

Barry, passing gun laws provide those passing the laws a sense of doing something. This, in turn, provides them the feeling that they are doing something worthy of being re-elected. Will it work? No. But, that not working will provide even more foundation for passing more laws. And the beat goes on.

Murder has ben unlawful from the time man was put on this planet.
More laws stating the same thing will not change anything.
Changing behavior will only happen by changing attitudes and putting God back in his rightful place.

Absolutely correct Bob. Someone once asked Diane Feinstein if a gun law would do anything to stop further crime. She replied that it would do nothing to stop crime BUT the people would at least think something was being done.

The Left wants more and more firearms restrictions and gun laws yet cannot come up with even one law that would have ever stopped even one murder let alone come up with a new law that will stop violence.

So, considering you folks are all against gun laws, I'd like one of you to explain to me why the United States has so many mass murders while other western countries don't.

Why are there more deaths due to medical malpractice? Opiod overdose? Cigarettes? As for deaths caused by rifles there are more caused by blunt objects, beating, and knives and sharp objects. Any answers for those?

We have liberals with the protection of feelings, 'political correctness', fuzzy math and a trophy for everyone, and no God.
All of that adds up to coddled people who don't know how to act when thrown from their protective bubble into the real world where their feelings are hurt and actually have to work for something.

People with guns are the problem. Take away the guns; make them find something else to use; make it harder to k**l lots of people.

And get some strong red f**g laws and lock up anyone that threatens anyone with violence.

None of what you wrote makes any sense at all.

What is your problem with fuzzy math?
