Raw converted and square cropped in Capture One, AI Clear filter (Studio2)...done.

Some call them tree rats but I prefer to think of them as part of the clean up crew removing the spillage of bird seed.

Thank you for the info "joer", was just admiring your latest photo of a Bluejay and again wondering about how I might aim toward such good photography. Think I'll print and frame this post then spotlight it hanging up on the wall behind my computer.

Tree rat is an appropriate term. They are cute but pests. They might clean up under a bird feeder, but that is only after they raided the bird feeder and scared all the birds off. They are smart and it takes a good deal of ingenuity to keep them out of the feeders. BTW, they are good fried like chicken, served with mashed potatoes and gravy and your favorite vegetable side dish. Nice pic.

They are determined little creatures but I have learned to keep them from raiding the feeders. Its not difficult out smart a squirrel. Just don't fall for most of the commercial solution, although a few work when used appropriately.

Your shots are great but your giving them a lot of credit. Mine usually manage to spill bird seed!
