I was given a Kodak Hawkeye 35mm camera when I graduated from high school in 1964. That gift started a lifelong passion that gives me joy to this day.
I considered myself a very advanced amateur. I started reading the questions and answers several months ago and I am no where near the "expert" that I thought I was. I have learned a great deal by simply reading your answers to peoples questions I use a Nikon D7100 and while I have the itch to upgrade, several of you have convinced me that there is no need. Attached is one of my favorites.
Thanks again for all the help

Welcome, enjoy, have fun. Very nice photo you shared.
Welcome. Nice image, by the way. Have fun.
Welcome Bob. Nice shot. Thanks.
I'm an expert in my own mind, that's all I care about. I don't shoot photo's to please other people, just myself. And yes, the D7100 should last you for a while, no need to upgrade in the near future. Nice photo.

Welcome to the Hog.
Once you get to the point where the image you are trying to capture is held back by your choice of camera, then it's time to upgrade. Until then, pixels are free; shoot everything.
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing a photo.
Welcome to the hog. Great pic. No need to upgrade if the equipment does what you want. Probably better off spending the money on lenses, flash, tripod, & maybe a focus rail.
Have fun, Tom
