Taken six years ago with a P520 bridge camera - sure wish I could go back for a redo with my current equipment!
Well spotted. The trouble with that part of the country is that it's a north-facing coastline, so the cliffs are always in shadow. But in this case the darkness adds to the dramatic look.
I don't think that a different camera would make any difference, you have already captured the atmosphere perfectly.
Thanks everyone! We saw this view almost every day of the week that we spent in Pennan as we went back and forth from various destinations. It's one of my favorites.
This is a very nice shot and I do not believe you could have done better with more expensive gear. It is the photographer, camera and lens are only tools.
If I had something to point my finger to it would be the horizon. It is too close to the mid line which divides the image in two equal parts. In competitions that is usually a no-no. Perhaps in this case lowering the angle of view of the camera could have resulted in a more pleasant visual design. From the practical standpoint it is a very nice image and very pleasant the way it is.
No need to go back with "better" gear. You did exceedingly well.
Great great composition. Do not change anything.

I think the photo is darn good the way it is so, curiosity begs me to ask, what would you do differently?
I think you did very well. My only criticism is that the huge expanse of almost uniform green is a little boring--it would have been better if there had been something there to interrupt it a little--a rocck or two, maybe.

I think the whole thing could have been sharper although on the download things like the house are nicely in focus, also I'd like to see more detail in the cliff faces.

You're right about the green field but one has to take what is given!
