Here's a barn I spied on my way home from the Native American Powwow in Elmo, Montana this past weekend. I wanted to give it a bit of an "old school" feeling, perhaps like a film print from years ago. Hopefully that worked! Comment and suggestions welcomed, and thanks for looking!

Why would you want to give it that "old school" feeling ?
The scene is fantastic and personally as it looks in real life to me is preferred. Please reprint as is so we can tell.

"Why would you want to give it that "old school" feeling ?"

As I see it each one of us is different and has a different taste. This is the way the gentleman who made the image prefers it. It is slightly undersaturated but he expressed his wish of having the subject presented this way.
I see nothing wrong with that.

Are we here to share our own vision or posting to please others? Of course it's impossible to please everyone

Tommy, your pp seems well suited to the subject and it's an engaging scene. You are one of a couple dozen folks on UHH with a well developed (no pun!) personal style.

WHOSE vision is it folks.... Just read another post where it was stated that AA spent countless late hours dodging and burning to create the look HE ENVISIONED....Why can't we all just appreciate the work of the photographer and his or her interpretation. I know I have a bad case of A.S.S. (Aggressive Slider Syndrome ) but that is just me and guess what.... I AM THE PHOTOGRAPHER and it is MY IMAGE.... BTW, I Luv the look of the barn ! On another note, Luv is slang for Love in case the grammar police come calling.

I think you’ve done well with the processing. What you've done here really pops in the download; I hope everyone took the time to view it that way, for it really becomes a different image to me, vibrant rather than somewhat flat.

There are two issues with the thumbnail:

1. exif says color space is uncalibrated; best to use sRGB for web if you want true colors to show in the thumbnail.

2. Image is 4000+ pixels wide. The larger the file, the more it gets compressed because thumbnail is only 600 pixels.

Nice shot. Maybe crop off some of the foreground.

Beautiful picture with excellent composition and pp. If this were mine I'd make it a wall hanger.

Thanks, Linda! In PS I have Image > Mode > RGB Color as my setting. Is this not correct? Also, I see what you mean about the image size - bigger is not always better, eh?

Google sRGB for web for more info. You'll be glad you did
