When I first saw this guy this morning, I thought he was quite young. When I loaded the photo in my computer, I could see he has more red color than I had seen at first - but he certainly doesn't look like this was turning out to be a good day for him.

some robins mature quickly ,i have 2 nests on corners of house and they are quit proud of thier singing (of course 5 am)

Yes, one year we had a nest in a bush next to our garage .... I was surprised how fast they went from hatchling to leave home.
