Selling this little silver gem because I decided to buy the 40-150 2.8 Pro lens instead. Used only a handful of times, very clean. Comes with both lens caps, UV filter & lens hood. Asking $225. Thanks!
That’s a sweet lens! I would not sell mine even if I did buy the 40-150 Pro. Just saying..

Neither would I. You can't put that zoom in your pocket as a just-in-case when you're otherwise traveling light.
Do you think the 25mm is a better option?

If that's addressed to me, then I'd say no. First, I've never been a great fan of the 25mm (50mm in the film days) angle of view. Today, for ME and the kind of pictures I take, a GX85 with the 12-32 kit lens makes the ideal walkin' around outfit. But I do not mind bringing along the 45/1.8 for the times when I want to narrow the view and/or capture a face in lower light, or just to narrow the depth of focus. The similar focal length lenses from Panasonic and Olympus with 1.2 apertures would give even shallower depth of focus, and a 75mm lens would give an even tighter composition, but none of those are anywhere near as small and light as the 45/1.8 and so would not come along as often, even if I had one of 'em. The 45/1.8, though goes along fairly regularly.
Well thank you for the information. I have a 12-40 2.8 Pro Olympus lens too, which I like a lot and the 45mm, 25mm & 40-150 2.8 plus the 60mm Macro so I'm in pretty good shape as far as selection goes. I'm not a portrait photographer at all, mostly nature, landscapes, animals, occasional people. I do hate lugging the 40-150 around but I just never know when I might want a closer view of a subject, especially with the 1.4 teleconverter for that lens. Maybe I'll have to think about keeping the 45mm .....Hmmmm decisions, decisions......
I use Olympus cameras with Olympus and Panasonic lenses. I own the 25mm f1.7 Panasonic and I use it regularly. We are all different and we all have different tastes.
I use the Olympus 40-150 f4-5.6 also on a regular basis. The professional 40-150 f2.8 is a great optic but it is heavy and larger than the amateur 40-150. For traveling I prefer the amateur version and I am very satisfied with the images I get from it.
If you are not doing portraits it is hard for me to understand why you bought the 45mm f1.8. Yes, it is a medium range tele but it seems those who buy it want it for portraits more than for a medium tele. By the way, my 40-150 f4-5.6 set at around 40mm does all I need when shooting portraits. Bokeh? Well, not spectacular but I seldom shoot wide open. It is my style.

Clearly you have not used nor do you need to use this lens. That is your choice.
I find when I mount it I get some great pics. It focus close, it is sharp, small, light. What is not to like?
This is a fine lens for those looking for a light compact sharp slight-tele lens for a decent price.

I can't imagine parting with my 25 to keep
only my 45, nor can I imagine vice-versa.
25 and 45 are two peas in a pod. Recently
got a 12-35/2.8 from a friend. Great optic,
but still can't relieve me of my 25-and-45
mini-lens combo :-)
Admittedly, my 25 gets about 10 times the
use of my 45, so if reeeeally forced to keep
just one, well obviously ..... but the idea of
not having both is verrrrry unpleasant :-(
