The past few weeks' Forum discussions have been very skimpy and not very informative. The list of questions is not as long as it used to be a year or so ago. I have noticed that many of our old-timers have not posted replies probably because there are no technical questions asked. Just wondering if folks have moved on to other forums somewhere else. Could it be the summer?
On the road or with the grandchildren...

If they wanted you to know where they were going, they would have told you.
Summer not only has nice weather, but kids and grandkids are out of school. Hopefully, when September rolls around the photo gallery will be full of pictures that will put smiles on all our faces.
This section will balloon in size with the oft-asked question, "What went wrong?".

More and more of the posts can be answered with a simple search of existing UHH threads. This could be a good or a bad thing. Some with questions have found answers and/or others may be tired of repeating themselves. It doesn’t generate a lot of interest when content doesn’t change much. Hopefully, it’s just a phase. And.... it is summertime and those couple hours of forum cruising are spent walking and shooting.
Many here sit on their hands waiting for someone else to post a topic. You know what Nike says, right? 🤔
For myself, I'm just not in the mood to answer the same question that's been posed 1000 times before or read the same arguments over and over.
And I can only look at a picture of a egret on a marsh or an eagle in a nest so many times before I go nuts. :)

Speaking only for myself, I spent a month on family business in California, and came back to a "bachelor" existence as my wife is visiting and helping out the East Coast grandchildren. At the same time, I've been hit with effectively doing two jobs at work, beyond the more than full-time nature of my normal work. I'm sure there are lots of other individual stories that add up to the same outcomes.
And oh yeah, I have managed to get out and take a few pictures. Hope to do this more soon!

The OP needs to be careful what he wishes for :)
People do seem to ask the craziest things and want us, the readers, to make up their mind for them. Perhaps people have just grown exhausted attempting to answer the same inane questions again and again. This forum is often more of a social networking forum than it is a photography forum, at least that is how it often seems to me. And even a post where some good and interesting back and forth on photography occurs often gets "corrupted" by someone wanting to show everyone else how much they know and how much better they are than everyone else. Maybe we are all just tired....
