I almost threw this one away

I was sorting through some photos on LR last night, culling out the ones that just didn't meet standards. The original, as you can see has a couple of blurry spots on the right hand side. I almost hit the remove button when I thought about all that magical AI software I've been spending money on.

It's not a great recovery but I'll save the original and wait for the latest and greatest whiz-bang software and see if I can do better.

I think this is a charming idea, but it seems unfinished to me. I'd love to see more flowers around the edges rather than rocks - or perhaps a vignette - and maybe something eye-catching done with the light? Are you still into it, or have you moved on already?

Not done with this one yet. You're right the story is incomplete and I hate to move on from a uncompleted story. Post 3 soon.

There was some ugly background there. This was the easiest fix for now. I like to tell stories about the pictures I post. I think this distracts from my original story but, to me at least, it is much more pleasing to the eye.

You feel the new background distracts from which story? And, is it too busy, you think? (I do like the golden-yellow)

Crop, god's gift to photographers. Photographers looking at the gallery photos and farmers pray for a good crop....

This is an example why you don’t hit the delete button. Sometimes all or parts of a photograph can be salvaged

The story was finding two smudges on the original photo and the effort to resolve them into the two supernatural beings. Sometimes I guess I'm not too clear. It is too busy but it was something to start with. I'm thinking about blurring the background a lot and see what that looks like. I like the colors but the pattern is too busy.

Cropping is part of the whole post processing procedure, both changing image size or removing objects. Has saved a whole bunch of pictures for me over the years.

That's why I never 'throw away' an image , I should have said remove from lightroom. Storage is cheap, files are small and with changing PP software I may be able to salvage some more someday.
