Clearing After a Storm

This is my 2nd post in this section and the critique I got on my red crepe myrtle was very helpful. This was taken last month here in Richmond Tx as a storm was moving out at sunset. I focused on the trees, where the tall tree a bit to the right was at 125m distance. I tried to capture a contrast of moods with the tranquil blue skies and trees in the lower third, intermediate cloud layer in the middle leading to the ominous receding storm clouds on top. What mood and story, if any, are you seeing in the photo? How about my choice of equipment, technique and composition. Any feedback will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Nikon D850, Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8: ISO 500, f/6.3, 1/1000 sec, 70mm. Cropped just a touch from 8256x5504 to 8210x5412. Used LR and upped the exposure 1/4 stop, brought up the whites (+20), +15 for dehaze and clarity, punched up the reds, oranges, yellows, and blues. The sky in the background was blue to my eyes, but more gray on my monitor, which is calibrated srgb, so I tried to reproduce what I think I had seen, but did punch up the color a bit. Just a touch of sharpening and checked the lens correction boxes.

Yes it was and when I saw it, I ran to get my camera. I'm just hoping I did it justice.
